SmartPlug Systems contracted the services of IMANNA Laboratories to test it's 30-Amp Inlet and Connector against the rigorous performance requirements as specified by the UL Marine Certification.
IMANNA LABORATORY, Inc. was established in 1983 as an Independent Testing Laboratory providing services to the Marine/Boating industry. IMANNA Laboratory, Inc. is a privately owned independent testing facility providing marine product manufacturers a place to obtain product development testing and product certification testing at a single facility. IMANNA is US Coast Guard accredited and recognized as an approved and experienced laboratory for testing to the industry standards published by the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and as a Standards Compliance Specialist by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA).

Northwest Marine Trade Association (NMTA) The purpose of the Northwest Marine Trade Association is to promote the growth of recreational boating and the businesses of our members. The NMTA is the country's oldest regional marine association. Founded in 1947 to fight a proposed special tax on boaters, the Association quickly expanded its vision of a unified industry by pitching a tent on the shores of Lake Union and holding its first boat show. Today, with a membership exceeding 850, participation of individual companies like yours makes business better for all. There's strength in numbers so climb aboard to help yourself and your industry.

American Boat and Yacht Council SmartPlug Systems is a proud member of the American Boat & Yacht Council. ABYC was formed by members of the Motorboat and Yacht Advisory Panel of the U.S. Coast Guard's Merchant Marine Council.The first set of standards, "Life Saving Equipment" (H-9) and "Battery Chargers" (E-6) were introduced in 1956. The first edition of "Safety Standards and Recommended Practices" was published in 1965 and consisted on 9 standards. Today, "Standards and Technical Information Reports for Small Craft" (previously known as "Standards and Recommended Practices for Small Craft") contains over 65 standards and is growing.
In addition to writing standards, ABYC designed a comprehensive education program beginning in 1989. The education programs include seminars, workshops, Marine Technician Certification program, and standards accreditation. ABYC will continue to research, develop, review and publish manufacturing and service standards for the boating industry. It is our aim to make recreational boating a safer sport in the next millennium!
