The 30 Amp Inlet and Connector represent just the tip of the iceberg with SmartPlug Systems planned roll-out of marine shore power products. Currently in production and available in Summer 2010 are the 30 Amp Dual Configuration Cordset, and the protective SmartPlug Weatherproof Cover which will protect either the 30 Amp or 50 Amp connector from moisture when not in use. Shortly after these products roll out, SmartPlug plans to release the beginning of the 50 Amp shore power product line to include an inlet, connector, and dual configuration cordset.

My vessel is currently in Malaysia…wet, hot and humid. Your product seems to solve the problem of heavy corrosion and rainfall at 32C. Can you advise me of a 30A cable that would be highly resistant to UV, temperature and high humidity on a longterm basis.
Hello Norman, the old twist style was never intended for outdoor use and with a climate like the one you’re in it can be even more dangerous. Our 30A SmartPlug Dual Configuration cordset is made out of PVC to allow for resistance to UV and has three waterproof seals to eliminate any moisture intrusion, ensuring a safe and dry connection. Additionally, SmartPlug Dual Configuration cordset is made with tinned wire which allows for an extra barrier of corrosion resistance. The cord will be available in July 2010.
